I've been promoting in London since 2010 — across the West End and the City. I loved the West End's glamour, but I always preferred the City's music culture: specialist DJs, real crowd energy, nights that feel alive. As a sub-promoter in the West End, I saw barriers people faced — discrimination based on race, money, and pretty privilege — and I never liked the arrogance that comes with VIP table culture.
I started Matrix Promotions in 2022 and launched Nostalgia Over 30s, thinking an age restriction would bring a more mature crowd. But I realised being over 30 could still have its problems.
In 2024, I stepped back from promotions to rebrand and restructure the events — and made the shift to members-only because I discovered something: maturity and respect aren't age-specific — they're character and personality-specific. A 20-year-old with integrity beats a 36-year-old with ego every time.
That's why we vet for character, not credentials. No chaos. Just premium standards. All-inclusive hospitality. Specialist DJs. A protected room where people can connect and have a premium experience.
